　　In Sydney, a multi-million-dollar export industry starts with a simple trip to the shops.

　　在悉尼，逛一趟商店就能做几百美金的出口生意。

　　Rika Wenjing, a 24-year-old graduate, has worked part-time for the past two years as a daigou (代购), also called a freelance retail consultant (自由职业购物顾问) by the BBC. She has built a network of three hundred clients through WeChat.

　　24岁的大学毕业生丽卡（文静）已经做了2年的兼职代购，或如BBC所说，她是名自由职业购物顾问。丽卡通过微信已经建起了客户网，覆盖人数达300人。

　　”In the beginning I just had my friends and my aunt to buy baby formula (婴幼儿配方奶粉) or unique brands from Australia. Then I wanted to build a platform to show more products to them,” she said.

　　“最初，我只是受朋友和阿姨之托从澳洲买婴幼儿配方奶粉和当地特色品牌。后来我就想用专门的平台奖更多产品展示给他们看。”

　　It's estimated that there are 40,000 daigou in Australia. The online shopping agents are young migrants or international students looking for flexible ways to help cover their rent and university fees. The trade mainly happens in Sydney, a city with a growing Chinese community and frequent direct flights to China, which makes doing business quicker and smoother.

　　据估计，澳洲有4万名代购。这群网络代购多为年轻的移民，或是想通过做零活来支付房租和学费的国际学生。这种代购贸易多以悉尼为基地，越来越多的中国人和频繁直飞中国的航班都使得悉尼的代购生意越发快捷与便利。

　　Earlier this year, Beijing tightened regulations on cross-border online shopping, but there is still money to be made, especially in baby milk formula. “Maybe it is more expensive. They don't care about the price, but they do care about the quality,” Rika explains.

　　今年初，北京政府加强了对跨境网购的管制，但这类生意仍有利可图，尤其是在婴儿配方奶粉这块。“也许婴儿配方奶粉更贵。但顾客们不在乎价格，他们只在意质量。”丽卡解释道。

　　The freelance exporters now have created thousands of trading routes, big and small, into China. “We think daigou are good for both the local economy and our business,” says Peter Nathan, chief executive of a baby formula manufacturer in New Zealand and Australia. “We clearly believe they are a positive force and it's fair to say that it is something we are assessing.”

　　这些自由出口商现已开辟出成千上万大大小小通往中国的贸易渠道。“我们认为，代购既能给当地经济带来好处，也能给我们的生意增加收益，”澳洲和新西兰某婴儿配方奶粉生产商的首席执行官皮特说。“我们十分相信这些代购发挥的积极作用。可以说，这正是我们在考虑的东西。”
